If everything else like the pulley and brakes line up, you might consider just moving the fender over. Small spacers between the fender support and frame on one side, and small spacers between the fender and fender support on the other side. That might keep the factory offset of the wheel too.
Make sure you have enough clearance for the strut bolts...they do more damage to the tire than the fender...and you won't know it till you hit a pot hole

Thanks, luckily i have the thin plates that go through the fender from the inside so the bolts don't stick out inside the fender. It kinda sndwiches the strut to the fender.
I'd blame tire size. We put a 150 on my buddies 99 FB and it rubbed the right side. I know exactly the offset your describing. Each tire company is a bit off from the next, one companies 160 could be a tad wider than another...

That is true, i was looking at a pirelli 160 but it was quite a bit wider than the metz i got. Sure am glad i didn't go that route or i would really be in a pickle!
