Back wheel off center
My cousin has a 03 Sportster (1200) and we noticed the other day that the back wheel isn't centered in the fender. on the left side only one finger will fit between the tire and the fender, while on the right side, two will fit easily. This doesn't seem to affect the ride, and I followed behind him today and didn't see any problems. Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful.

I believe being off-centered is normal for a sporty. Mine is off-centered but have more space on the left side and very close on the right side. It becomes more important if you lower your bike since the bolts may contact your wheel. The alignment of the belt drive/pulley and rotor are the important factors in the spacing of the rear wheel.
