Looking for any feedback on the kits that some vendors on Ebay are selling that include a set of Apes prewired, handlebar controls, and brake mastercylinder and clutch perch, basically everything except the clutch and throttle and brake lines.
any experiences?
When I was looking for apes, I came across those auctions as well. I remember when i went to one of them, it came from a company called HCC in texas. I went directly to HCC and ended up ordering a kit from them.
The kit i got included:
16" bars
Namz wire extensions (plug n play, no molex pins to deal with)
clutch cable + rubber covers
brake line + fittings
Idle and throttle cable
It did not include the housings or pre-wired bars, but they did offer that as an additional cost, which was over $600 - I chose to use all of my old stuff and i feel it was a good choice especially since I was not changing the finish of the grips or controls...
I Paid under $500 for my entire kit and install was PAINLESS and took 4-5 hours, and could have been faster if it wasnt my first time disassembling my bike...

I also went with a kit from HCC. 16in...cables and internal wires...been running them for a couple years and no complaints. I also called them directly.
Thanks for the input guys, yeah it seems that HCC is the one to use, unfortunately since I asked the question I found they cant get me the Carlini's,
So it looks like I'll have to order everything separate and pay my Indy to install them,
I was hoping to get them prewired and all done, dont think it's going to happen though.
Anyone who has Carlini 16 Gangsters out here, can you tell me what cable lengths you went with?, and with what risers?,

If you order Carlinis from Carlini, you can call HCC and they will sell you the correct wiriing kit for About $225-$275 complete... as in everything except the bars....all you need to do is tell them your bike and the size of bars and brand, they do the rest.
