Default Opinions on Front End

I am thinking of either chroming or blacking out my front forks.

Give me some opinions on which you think will look better on my scooter.

I have the black crash bar, I am also getting my A/C cover and air wing horn cover powdercoated black to match the engine guard. I have black axle covers, and the skull accents which are chrome and black. If I black out the forks, I will leave the headlight chrome and powdercoat the trim ring. I may also powdercoat the handlebars, if so I will chrome my controls.

I know only what I think matters, but I would like to get some of your opinions.

Also, instead of buying the HD black front end, could I just have my OEM parts powdercoated and reinstall them? This would be a lot cheaper.

thanks

Personally, I am a fan of chrome. However, based on the decisions you have made for the engine guard, air cleaner, etc, black may be a good choice.

Another thing to consider are the chrome fender struts you have. Doing a chrome fork may help balance it out.

I like the chrome loers on the fatboy. I've got them on mine and they really make it pop. I'm not so crazy about the blacked out front end though.

Warg,
The more I look at your slick bike, the uglier the 07' Fatboy becomes.
The MoCo truly destroyed the Fatboy.

Personally, I like to be different. If you black out the front end, you'll need more black around the bike to tie things in. Do the black forks, add black floating rotors and some other blacked out stuff to pull it all together.
I'll tell you what may look hot if you do the black thing, add the HD Finned collection to your bike to pull in some black.

I've seen these covers on chrome primary and cam covers, and it really looks hot. It pulls the black right out of the engine. If you go with the chrome, it will look very nice, classyand finished, but it won't be anything different than the Harley parked next to you.
JMHO.
