I learned to ride on a heritage. I have ridden a few other HD's and bought a slim for myself. But for two up riding and sheer comfort, the heritage was the most comfortable softail I have ridden. I like the looks also. Very classic. Good Luck
I just traded my 2008 Street Glide for a 2013 Heritage.
I find the ride better and I love the classic look. Loved the Street Glide, but the color of the Anniversary Edition never grew on me, had it for 1 year and 13,000 miles. Not missing the radio yet, but will I am sure on long rides.
I wanted something a bit different and I love the look of the front end being chrome and uncluttered.

T. Bear, bought a 2012 same color. Love it!!! I added the Boom speakers & love them. Check out the signature series seat for long rides... also added memory foam the seat, made a difference ..... ride safe.
Sweet ride man, now you can take the wife along and I found after 25 years of marriage, our best times ever were on two wheels.
Once she pissed me off with her passenger habbits I had enough, taught her how to ride and got her off my bike, put a solo seat on it and said, there, done!!
She has never been happier, now I need to get her another bike as we both sold ours to take care of family business a few years ago and we are only now getting back on two wheels.
Anyway congrats on the bike and have fun with your wife.
My wife transformed into a more fun vibrant exciting person after riding a while and enjoying herself, I wouldn't trade the times we have had together now for anything in the world.
OF course I like my wife and we are good friends.
