2012/13 Winter Mods
For me, it's:
Stretched tank + paint job (already got the tank sealed & primed)
Cams (probably Andrews 26N)
Then it will be done; and by done I mean the vision I had when I bought her 3 years ago. I'm sure it won't be.... always more things to do.

Not sure just yet. Where there is a will there is a way...I am more worried about drilling + tapping the tranny for the shotgun compressor. The directions say tap 7/16 14 thread hole...so what size bit (size U--never used that size before)??

Every year, seems like I say, this is it last mods. For sure this time. So I got some plans for the Crossbones. Br apes, big buffalo risers, works performance shock, flat black powder coated springs, martini 4.75 gloss black headlight, powder coated black Rsd exhaust, Joker Machine air cleaner cover, Zippers max flo air cleaner, Zippers NADS nitrous kit, a couple sneaky mods and some paint then |I'll be ready for next year...
This winter, there will be no more mods to this:

Here is what I have in mind. 16" Gangster apes, internal wiring, white hand grips. 42" baffled cholos. Get stock seat reworked with gel inserts and a combination of white and black leather. I have about 10 more pieces to come off to be sent out for chrome. This all depends on what kind of bonus I get this year from work though. I want to retire more then I want mods, if you can believe that. Cash in the bank and my toys paid for is what I want and need the most in oreder to be able to retire. I am sick of 12 hour swing shift!!!
Big Bore kit, either Hillside or FuelMoto.
Flush mount gas cap and gauge.
Have a set of the wing style rear signals with the LEDs in the bar I need to fit with the sissy bar.
If I feel real ambitious, polish the fork lowers.
Just my opinion, jreichart, but I don't know that whitewalls would look right on your bike. Maybe want to photoshop that 1st.

I did mine like this but I had to take the whole horn apart and a horn has allot of parts that have to be set just right to get any sound. PITA

As for the tapping, a letter drill shouldn't be hard to find. Any place that sells the tap should have the drill. If you have a Grainger near by they would have anything you need. If you haven't tapped much go slow and every half turn back it up to break the chip. (and use lube)
Everyone says a Shotgun in a piece of cake to install.
I like what you've done so far, that is a great looking bike! My favorite model softie by far. What did you do with the paint?
