Cool! Looks awesome. Don't hit those pipes in the rear!!! Too much...Hey, take care of them but they are made to ride!!! I am setting up my rocker similar. Already did the progressives in the rear and dropped it 1.5 ". Putting progr. in the front and picking it up 1 ". I set up my last bike like that and it was super! (That bike still hidden in the garage from the wife...man sanctuary...it's like an embassy in my home...My wonderful wife and daughter have no jurisdiction here AND THEY KNOW IT! LOL). The progressives and the new stance are great together. It's like my Danny Gray seat...why did I wait so long...total comfort! Back to the winter mods and tuning the snowmobiles...it's here...!
Well, I've been contemplating removing my front fork lowering kit for a while and finally bit the bullet and did it this weekend while doing my major service.
I had the Progressive drop springs in for a few years now and enjoyed them...but have been wanting a more tail-dragging look when running down the pavement.
Before...with the 2 inch Progressive drop installed and the *** slammed...
After...stock springs reinstalled and the *** slammed...tail-dragger!!! The rear pipes went from a little more than 2 inches off the ground slammed to less than an inch now...
I loved the total slammed look, don't get me wrong...but you know how things go with our bikes...it was time for a change......all this one cost me was a couple hours of my time, some elbow grease, and 2 pints of fork oil.
The bike rides a lot softer back at stock height...much more slush in the suspension up front.
Anyway, for those of you on the forum rolling a Heritage or Deluxe with a 21 up front and a Shotgun Shock (or any other air ride for that matter) and are curious how your bike will look slammed with lowered or stock front end setup, this should give you a good idea of what to expect.
quick question for ya...i was planning on getting the drop-in progressive springs for the front of my rocker, but i wanted to hear from someone who has already done it. How much stiffer is the ride?? I don't want to be riding down the road on a hardtail...lol. Let me know how the ride is because it definitely makes the bike look sweet as hell!
