no problems ... great ride. Some people give you that old man's bike crap. Then they want to but something in your bags for the ride. never fails. Thinking about switching to chubby 12.5 apes this spring.
I had chubby 12.5 on my road king and they were very comfortable. I have 16's with 1.5 inch risers on my flstc.
Congratulations on the new bike, you are going to love it!
I had a 2007 Street5 Glide and wanted a change and really wanted to get a Road King. The dealer had a couple used Kings I took out and really was not comfortable on them.
The put a plate on a new Heritage and I fell in love, came back to the dealer saying I'll take it.
Most comfortable bike I have ever owned out of the box. I have always run stock pipes but the ones on the Heritage sounded like my old Honda. So I changed to Rush 1.75 slipons and I just installed a Arlen Ness Big Sucker Air Cleaner and an FL-Xied-10 fuel management ad on.
My question for those who ride two up is will changing to a passanger touring seat be that much more comfortable for my wife?
I fine my seat to be awesome but my wife is sometime uncomfortable. I would love her to be comfortable and willing to take longer rides.
I have been thinking about trading my 10 Wide Glide in for something more comfortable and have really enjoyed reading through this thread. I got hit by a drunk while on duty (totalled my squad) and my lower back has really paid the price. The Wide Glide beats me up terrible now. You guys have some beautiful Heritages and have given me some great ideas. I will admit I am apprehensive to going to a bike with bags and windshield as they appear much bigger than what I've ever owned. I look forward to more posts on this thread. Regards. TM
I don't think there's but 30lbs weight difference in the Wide Glide and the Heritage, and the Heritage windshield is detachable though I don't know why you'd want it off (not a big fan of bugs in my face), and the bags can come off but once you start loading them up with everything but the kitchen sink ........
Mine is my first so I can't compare but i love it. The stock seat for me is perfect. Lowering is an option but the seat is pretty low stock. I added passenger floor boards for the woman and also added custom extra high passenger pegs so she can change foot positions. I also lost the strap across the passenger seat as it irritated the backs of her legs. I pushed the handle bars as far as I could forward without touching the winshield and I'm ready to add highway pegs soon. The future holds a fairing with a stereo and this baby will be perfect. I almost forgot .....I put a touring bag on the back to for more storage

You'll be amazed how easy the Heritage is to ride. The bags and windshield make it look bigger, but they add very little weight. Go to the dealer and compare a Deluxe to a Heritage. The Deluxe will seem "smaller", but is really the same bike without the bags and shield. And, the center of gravity is low on the Softail. They have great balance and you really don't notice the weight once it's off the stand.
