Oh oh you asked for it, the BEST mod to do is install the Shotgun Shock air suspension system. We have it on our '12 Heritage and the wife loves it, and so do I, as we both have bad backs and the road shocks from the SoCal roads was murder on us. JD, the owner of SS, has a forum member deal going on right now for the shocks, $1250.00 with free shipping, normally $1500.00 plus shipping. JD is a member of the forums just look up Shotgun Shock. OK I'm done now.
LOL! I know all about the shotgun suspension. I wish I had the money to get them but after the down payment and a few mods I am broke. Trust me getting the Shotgun suspension is in my long term plans but for right now I'll be lucky to get a nice touring seat for my wife.

Yeah, even without the shotgun's you will enjoy the ride of this bike.
Enjoy.

You're not a real biker if you didn't pay cash for your bike.
Congrats on the purchase, it's really too cold to be able to really take it out and enjoy it right now anyway. I mean you can ride when it's this cold, but it sure is a lot more fun when it's 85 degrees so when you get off, you can get a cold one and sit and stare at your machine. At 30 degrees, it is just not all that much fun. Killer paint, I really like that scheme!

Kidding! You'll love that bike.
LOL!! If it is one thing I know it is I know I am not a real biker. I am not even sure what a biker is moreless a real biker. I'm 29 and dress like a punker (I guess) because when I am at the dealership the customers and I guess real bikers look at me like I am lost.

Didn't pay cash for mine either. I'd rather spend those years riding rather than saving.
I guess weather would have kept you off the road in ND until then anyways. I'm glad to hear you are getting exactly what you want. That is worth waiting for! Too often folks settle. Settle for colors they don't prefer, or models that are not exactly what they want.
These motorcycles are not pacemakers (meaning that you don't HAVE to have them), so not getting what you really want seems sad. I get not being able to afford everything/feature one might desire, but I have met so many H-D owners who got the bike that "was on the floor" because "they didn't have the color I really wanted."
I applaud the deliberate and patient way you got your dream! KUDOS!!!
