That is a great looking bike. What all did you have to do to clean it up like that? I thought that there would be hangers for the bags etc.

Default 1995 Harley Heritage

Hey bud, I own a 95 Heritage and I love this bike!
I have Fatboy bars on it, shotgun pipes, mostly everything else is stock.
The chsnges I've made to accomodate my wife are that I put floorboards on for her, swaped out the 95 passenger seat with one off an 07. We found the old stock seat, she sat up too high on me. Emergency braking had her up on my shoulders. The stock o7 seat brought her down a good 2 inches which made us way more comfortable. I find the stock rider seat great on long rides, i have riddin for 8+ hours in a day and found it very comfortable.
I added Kuryakyn highway pegs mounted to my floorboards to stretch out my legs. Not a fan of the crash bars. Had a buddy go down and he did circles as the crash bars acted as a pivot point.
Tons of room in the bags, which i can remove in 10 minutes.
I say go for the upgrade to a Heritage! A big bike without the touring look.
Cheers!

Here is my wife's 2007 Heritage. Stage 1, SERT, V&H pipes, Fatboy bars, hard bags and tour pack. Lowered with seat shaved and gel pack inserted in seat.

The bags have a built-in brace that attaches on a bracket by the rear footpegs. There will be a couple of long threaded studs on each side of the rear fender. Take them out and replace them with chrome bolts. I can put the bags back on my Heritage in about 10 minutes.

Mods needed to make the Heritage the best bike on the road? NONE. All of the changes here from everyone are a matter of personal preference. The stock everything is great and the bike rides and exists as the perfect machine for me. I have made a lot of changes since I bought her in 2007, but these are what I WANTED, and really none of what I NEEDED.

I added V&H Pipes and a PC first. Bought a Corbin seat at the time I bought the bike, and had to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive. Had I known how comfortable the stock seat was, I would have saved my money.

I can go full touring with all the bags, backrest, windshield and all or in 5 mins, I am all about hopping around town on a stripped down fatboy look a like with chrome spoke wheels.

I have been riding for 30 years, and have ridden all makes. The Heritage is my bike for life!

Oh about 5 minutes. 15 minutes if you want to change all the bolts for the bags for a completely smooth look.
