Default LED fuel gauge help please...

I received my LED fuel gauge and the instructions aren't very helpful. I can't tell where the wires run from the tank up the frame and then where? I've removed the stock fuel gauge with no problem. Where do I make the connection over to the LED gauge....?

send help please.........

Did you disconnect the 4-pin connector from the old gauge which is located just underneath the tank? You just connect the wires as shown in the instructions to the new gauge, feed the 3 wires down the drain tube, connect the 3 pins in the supplied connector as shown on diagram, connect new connector & your done. There is a little clip which keeps the wire up underneath the tank, you will have to feel for it.

Not sure what bike you have but, on my 2012 FB there is a molex connector under the front of the tank where it connects. I had to unbolt the front of my tank and lift it a little to get to it, but others have been able to reach it without doing this.

do NOT connect the black thing to the loose wires before you install it..they're a pain in the butt to get back off.. There's a tube that runs through the tank from top to bottom that the fuel gauges wires run through.. just look directly below the gauge on the bottom of the tank and you'll see the wires coming out.. disconnect and/or cut those from the black housing thing.. then the fuel gauge will basically pop right out from the top of the tank.. slide your new gauges wires through that hole, pop the gauge in to place, then back under the tank, connect your wire housing, plug it in, and you're done.

I do not see the 4 pin connector up under the tank. The three wires run into a heat shrink of sorts and then up between the tank and then out of sight I'm assuming up into a wire loom that feeds the speedo?

I found the little clip up underneath the tank and just pulled it back freeing the wires.

Geezzzz...I'm confused. I'll try and post pics tomorrow morning...

thanks guys.
