Yeah I have a couple. I didn't go with the fat front end and lights. These were made before I put the 07 fat boy foot board supports and FLHT boards. I tore my bike down to the frame and just started all over. Not through yet.

If you want to put a Deluxe style wheel and fender on your bike, get the entire front end.
Harley doesn't put those big fat FL style fork tubes on the Deluxe, Heritage and Fatboy's for no good reason.
I have to think that putting all the extra weight of a fat wheel, tire and fender on skinny FX fork tubes may not be a very good idea.
Even slightly worn struts can make a hard curve on the stock 21" spoke wheel a bit 'interesting'.
So adding all that extra unsprung weight to thin FX tubes may be asking for the kind of riding problems no one likes.

Except, IIRC, FL tubes can be used in FX lowers making the forks on each pretty much exactly the same? Only difference might be in the tube spacing, but not sure on that as the fatboy fender I had bolted right onto the FX fender mounting points. The FL bikes just have a lot of extraneous sheet metal bits bolted to them, don't think that would make much difference to the handling though. Plus, I'm running a larger tire on my "skinny" FX than the FL does, with no issues at all to handling. Seat of the pants, it handles much better than the pizza cutter it came with.
I'm keeping the 21" I'm just talking about asthetics...ie, the fenders & front/rear lights. My plans are to go with a heritage front fender, Custom rear fender (unless I get a deal on a fatboy fender), and some extra running lights for the front. I'm hoping it turns out as good as I'm imagining.
