Hey slim/fat boy owners out there. I'm having a problem using the stock risers with the install. I'm well aware that I was supposed to get the riser kit but no one could tell me why it won't fit the Slim and I liked the risers enough to keep them. Furthermore, I hate the cover that comes with the nacelle and want to avoid using it. Anyone have experience with this?
I found out that the risers are too thick for the cutouts. Not wanting to trim the nacelle, is there anything else i can do? Are the alternate riser kits finished or mostly unfinished alum? Any help would be awesome.
If it was mine I would trim it with a high grit bit a little at a time till you get that perfect fit. Then just have the tins re powder coated. Doing that with chrome would be a more expensive to rechrome.

Thanks for taking the time to post pics.
I've been wondering what it looked like without that cover.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing - I like the nacelle, but I'm not crazy about that riser cover - especially since it only works with the stock riser.
Besides, I already added the Slim pullbacks (which I plan on having powdercoated black this winter), and will probably at some point swap those out and go with the black Slammer bars...
I had a Switchback previously, and the nacelle on that didn't interfere at all with risers or beyond. I wish they made one like that for the Slim...
