Default Front axle nut cover size?

What is the difference in the size of the front axle nuts on an 03 FXSTI and those on the same year Dyna or XL? I am looking at a set of covers but they are different between these two models, are they close enough that they should still work or is it that much different that it wont work? Thanks in advance.

Every part I've bought for my bike has had a Fitment guide on the package.

Just look at it and check it to see..

There are different part numbers for a FXSTI and a FXD. I've had parts that HD fit said will not and they fit like they were made for my bike. What I want to know is, are the front axle nuts that much different, that they will not work? Does anyone know the sizes of each?

Those models you listed all have 3/4" front axles so the nuts should be the same. It wasn't until '04 that the Dyna went to a 1" front axle. Except for the WideGlide. It had 3/4" front and rear from '00 til '05.

Thanks Ghostrider. Any thoughts as to why they would have different part #'s then? The Dyna and FX covers are a different part # than FXST FXDWG and touring models. The Dyna covers are easier to come by thats why I ask. I may just get them and try them out on my bike.

It could possibly be the axle heads that are different and not the nuts.

Alright, thanks for that, I will look into it more. I never thought of it from that angle.
