Can anyone tell me the ground clearance on a 2007 stock Heritage.
I am considering buying a J&S motorcycle lift. The bike has been lowered about 1 " and I want to know if it will allow the J&S jack to work without raising the bike on a ramp of some type?
OK, I looked and can't fine the actually ground clearance on the Heritage.
But I know when I first tried to use my lift that has a mim lower of 4 1/2", with the bike on the jiffy stand it would not go Under both sides of the bike. I roll my lift in from the right side.
I put 1/8''smaller dia bolts in my lift arms and also drilled out the holes where they go through 1/8'' and now the lift goes down to 3 3/4'' which will go under the bike on one side, but it still hits the frame on the other side, Which means I still have to pull the bike UPRIGHT a little when I roll it under the bike..
So If Ur mim low on Ur J&S is 4'' and Ur bike is lowered 1'',, IMO it aint gonna just roll underneath UR bike if on the Jiffy stand.
If U can get someone to hold U bike straight up while U roll it under, it would help.. but not sure if it would still go. It'd be really close.
I have the Harbor Freight lift and I have lowered my Heritage 2" in the back and 1" in the front. The only way to use this lift is to roll the bike up on 2x6 under both wheels and then it will barely go under if the bike it sitting straight up.
