Brother, we are ALL here to help. And you would be correct. You will need to use the Screaming Eagle Heavy Fork Oil. It helps with the damper of the forks. The Progressive Kit is about the best you can buy. You will not be disappointed.
I appreciate you answering all my question. You have given me all the info I needed.
Part of the deal with rust is that the rim and nipples are steel and the spokes are stainless. They need to be cleaned very regularly to keep this from happening. I cannot say if this is due to the brand but all fat spoke rims are made the same way so keeping them spotless is extremely important.
Could it be cheaper materials that have caused this to happen? Certainly. Is it for sure? Who knows. I had a set of DNA's on my bike way back when and had the same issue. Replaced them with another brand and made much more of an effort to keep them clean and they are still perfect.
I have yet another brand on one of my other bieks that I just put on and keep them spotless all the time as well.
Everyone I know that has DNA fattys havent had any problems with rusting issues. But at the same time, Im picky as hell about cleaning my wheels and WWs.

I think thats the answer I was looking for and my thoughts on it..Ill just have to stay on top of cleaning them..

What helped me the most in keeping them spotless, is after I washed them with soap and water, then after they was totally dried, I would spray some Meguires Detailer on them and then wipe dry. It helps with road grime getting stuck on your spokes. Then you dont have to wash them all the time. You can just wipe clean. I think it also helps protect the chrome from water spots too. JMHO
Hate to be "that guy"... but I strongly suggest looking at some of the more expensive (and potentially better) brands of fat spoke wheels.
I've been disappointed with my DNA's. Been getting lots of rust on the chrome bits... and although it's not a big deal... they do leak.
Just FYI guys, I noticed Drew from Dr.V Twin ( he was who was selling both DNA, and Wride wright fat spokes) had some rust on his first pair of chrome Wride wrights but I noticed after getting his second pair he started using one of those blaster jr.s I'm assuming to prevent rust after washing. Now he was in close contact with the Wride Wright people pretty much on a regular basis so I'm assuming they must of told him to do that for prevention! That's why after washing I dry the wheels extremely well!!!!!!
How long have you had them? i was planning on running tubes to make sure no leaks..
Couple years now. I didn't want to run a tube in the low profile tire on front... so I deal with it. Like I said... not a big gripe. I keep a couple of cheap tire pumps handy and give it a blast of air every other week or so. It's not like I have to ride from gas station to gas station to keep it inflated.
I'm gonna run tubes anyway. I don't want any trouble at all and it's easier to do it from the start Also I'm picky as h... with my bike. I always blow dry it after wash and finish the job with a wipe. I also give it a good wax a couple of times during the season. Actually I wax the chrome parts too and it really keeps the chrome easier to maintain nice and shiney

Hope I didn't come across like I'm slamming DNA for being a shiat product. I just wish I woulda paid the money for a better product. Of course... that's assuming the more spendy ones ARE actually better.
I travel for work and spent August to November on the peninsula just south of San Francisco (close to the ocean AND the bay). It was a constant battle with the wheels (especially the nipples) rusting... even with having the bike parked inside.
Never got anywhere near 'pitting' or 'damage'. A little #0000 steel wool and some elbow grease and the shine up great... it was just annoying.
