Looking for a little direction on my 07 FLSTSC. My starter is not engaging when I hit the start. Battery is fully charged. Starter sounds like it is spinning. So I pulled the inspection plate to see what's happening, thinking the starter drive was spinning but not pushing out. Turns out the drive is pushing out but NOT spinning. So I whipped out the handy manual last night and pulled the starter off (not to mention the rear exhaust and oil tank). Was thinking about upgrading, however I'd like to save some $$ and see about fixing the starter. Called a couple local indi shops and both just asked me to bring it in... Nope. I like to learn and do. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
