Slip-On Pipes: Do I need to remap?

Hello All,

I have a 2012 Heritage Softail, bone stock, and am wondering if I install some slip-on mufflers, can I just leave it that way without remapping, adding air filters, or anything like that?

I had a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic FI a while back, and installed an aftermarket exhaust without having to do anything extra. It ran fine up until the day I sold it.

Any wisdom or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have slip on mufflers and was told by a mechanic only when you change the stock pipes you have to map and etc.

With just pipes you are probably ok, I was on my '06 Fatboy and '09 Street Glide, and seem to be ok on my '13 Slim

Slipons only? Little bit more sound.

Slipons + Tuning (remap) Little bit more sound and 2-3 % power increase.

You will or not pop on decel... if you do you will "need" to remap.
