That's great news!! I've ALWAYS loved the Fat Boy, but I have to admit, this is without a doubt the hardest motorcycle purchase I have ever made. I originally went to the dealership to look at an '06 Electra Glide Ultra (used...10,000 miles on it), to replace my'84 Aspencade. (Riding one of those rolling couches makes you kinda soft...you get used to the stereo, big fairing, cruise, etc.) Then shifted my sights to an '03 (lower price/lower miles...only 4400 miles). Then I started checking out an '06 Street Glide (new...), then started eyeballing an '06 Electra Glide Classic they had on the floor (new, already decked out with about $2k in 'skull logo' extras...and in awesome cherry red...). However, as I said, I've ALWAYS loved the Fat Boy. It is the "dream bike", so to speak. I had spotted mine when I first went into the dealership, and pointed it out to my wife and son (fortunately my wife rides too, so convincing her to spend money on a bike isn't a huge issue...), but received little in the way of comment. However once I shifted my eyes to a pair of '06 Fat Boys they had on the floor (zero miles/stock), my wife points at the '04, and says, "What about that one?" She thought I was dead set on the Electra Glide, so thought I'd lost interest in the FB over the years. This girl has $6k of extras on her already, as I said before under 3500 kms on it(U.S. bike, converted to metric by the previous owner...a little under 2200 miles on it...), and they threw in a 2 year warranty. They made me the proverbial 'offer I couldn't refuse'. I will have to wait to post pics. I keep forgetting to bring my camera when I go out to the dealership, but my brother brought his along last Saturday. However I'll have to wait until he fwd's me the pics, before I can post any. Thanks though, guys. I really appreciate the positive vibes. This is without a doubt the LONGEST winter I've ever experienced!!! I wish I had the parts to ride in the -1 F someone mentioned earlier. I'd do that stuff when I was younger, but now I'm only and brittle. I'm not exactly a fair weather rider, but definitely an 'above zero' rider. As soon as I get some decent pics, I'll post some. (BTW...I've already started buying stuff to personalize it...just adding to the fun of the purchase!!)
