Default '04 FLSTFI...Any quirks?

I just finalized a deal on an '04 Fat Boy last weekend. I'm going back out to the dealership this weekend for a run through, but unfortunately we're still deep in the grip of Old Man Winter around here, so actually getting her out for a run is impossible. Just thought you experienced Fat Boy owners might be able to enlighten me to any quirks I can expect. While 3 model years old, she's got less than 3600 kms on it, so is barely broken in. Hopefully I won't hear anything too frightening!

I dont think you'll hear anything frightening, just alot of raving. You'll soon make the bike your own by changing what ever you like ie;bars, pipes etc.Just enjoy it like everyone else who has a fatty.Congrats by the way.

I bought my '01 FLSTFI last summer with 9800 mi. No issues
just regular maintenance. Added alot of extras though. I suggest you purchase the bench manual for it. Makes ownership alot easier.

I spend a lot of time on this forum and have not read anything negative about the 2004 Fat Boy.
How about posting a picture?

I've had mine since new. Only problem was around 2500 miles i noticed a tiny oil spot under the primary one day. Dealer replaced the seals on the inner primary and it has been flawless ever since. Great bike, rides smooth and comfortable. Bullet-proof start-up and running with the EFI. You will like it! Congrats! Let's see a pic...
