I am looking to replace the floorboards on my softail slim.
my question is are all the floorboard mounts the same? i am wanting the squared ones that are on the deluxe or heritage. any help would be great! thanks!
Not all footboard mounts are the same. The "squared" ones you are referring to are the traditional (D-shaped) footboards. They also come in a half-moon shape as well as many others. Something else to think about is if you plan on using footboard inserts from the different collections available. Not all collections have inserts for all available shapes.
Because there are so many shapes and collections to choose from, the best recommendation is to look through the 2013 HD Parts & Accessories catalog and choose the footboards and inserts you want. The fitment information is included. You can download the calalog here: http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...bmLocale=en_US
To directly answer your question, I do not believe the traditional shape rider footboard used on the Heritage will fit a Slim.
