So I really want to install the cat eye dash and am having a hell of a hard time getting a bracket made that will allow me to mount it correctly. So I found a cheap pump off a flstc that came with the cat eye dash and intend to swap out just the door.
Anyone do this? Is it even possible? I haven't torn into my cover yet since I don't want to break it so plan is to attempt to strip the new pump cover when it arrives and depending on ease of doing that I'll attempt it on my cover.
The cateye dash mounts a little farther back than the regular deluxe dash, I'll see if I can locate some pics for reference.
I know some here have done the swap but I can't figure out or find how they mounted them. Most say they just made a bracket but for the life of me I can't figure out how to make the bracket so it doesn't interfere with the lights under the dash. This is my best thought and since it was only $100 for the used pump door and pump on eBay I'm hoping to make it work.
