Default I did it and I love it.

got a used fairing for a hundred bucks and custom fabricated it to fit to my quick detach windshield hardware. The turn signals are the only thing I have to unscrew. I take them off the bracket mount and screw them back on the handlebars if I want to take the fairing off.

Not everything that can be done should be done, JMO. But at least you've got something special now ; )

On my Heritage, I used these hand deflectors for the cold weather...they are clear and work well:

If you want a fairing think about getting rid of/trading/selling your softail, or if you're crafty do what ant did.

antfromnj, could you post pics of how to mounted the batwing fairing? I'm very interested in doing this to my 2000 FXSTS.

Thanks

I knew it was a long shot, but thought I would try.

Thank you
