I have an 08 crossbone that I ride as early and late in the season as I can. Gets cold, particularly after dark!!
Has anyone fitted a batwing to a springer front end? I suspect it can be done with a quick attach if I relocate the headlight and signals....
Personally, I don't think it'll look good at all. You'd be covering up the most attractive part of the bike; kinda like marrying a Super model and making her wear a bag over her head.
Though I understand your reasoning, I can't say I would go that route. Aftermarket Batwing fairings look cheap, and in most cases out of place, you would see some of the springs hanging from below the fairing which would look out of place, plus you'll have to fab up a headlight mount to relocate it, would be a lot of work but it could be done if you really want it bad enough
I believe that it can be done quick release on a bones by using the dyna version of the wing without much fuss. It's not cheap, and I have thought about it many times. I know it can be done, I just havent done it. If you do, post pics please
Have you looked at Wind Vest products ? Just got mine yesterday. I think it's gonna look great and be easy to change out / take off for the shorter rides.
