I bought a full helmet when I first got the bike for long trips...but hated it. With the half helmet, I find myself wanting the wimpshield on...but if I can listen to tunes with comfort, I want to try a 3/4.
Here is what I found. Note the watermelon head is a tradition of my football team up in Canad..Saskatchewan Roughriders. Do I go goofy or style withe bike?

The helmet is great fits low (still a lot of noise though but a lot better than a half). The Visormatic keeps the wind off but I still wear glasses (too lazy to fine tune to keep the wind off the eyes) it transitions to black its really great.
Oh and licks no longer produces the 3/4 gloss black and only have XL size left.
I pre ordered the Bell Rogue helmet (estimated date is mid march). Looks cool ill try it out worst case ill just return it. I wanted it for the 3/4 helmet look and added face protection. Always worry about having my face getting ripped off if i ever go down.
I wear ear buds with the helmet but i think over the ear headphones would be better.
That watermelon looks awesome lol do you have a link?
+1 on Licks and I use Etymotics noise cancellation, (they are like ear plugs) and I am just super happy..
the RockHard was slightly more comfortable and made the tunes slightly better but it was just too big compared to the Licks.
I use RockHard for long hauls, and Licks for summer nice day rides.
