Default seal question

the seal that sit right behind the inner race ,by the sprocket nut,can you pry that out with out taking nut off ,no tools for that everything looks dry and clean ,thanks, its for 2004 heritage

Not sure 100% what you are talking about so sort of just signed on. You referring to the inner seal between engine and primary up behind front sprocket in primary that sits inside the stator flange?

i took inner race off ,going to put new race on ,but some are saying i should replace that seal thats by the big sprocket nut,,that and the shifter shaft seal since i am here anyways,dont got no tools to go and take nut off ,its dry and clean ,hope that makes since part number 12035b is the seal i am talking about

There are actually 2 or 3 seals there. A inner and outer and the quad seal. Think you need to lock transmission and remove drive pulley to get them all. Been a while and do not have my manual with me. If it were me I would probably just leave it till I had to do it if I were doing my own work unless I planned a across the country trip. Worst think it will do is start to drip unless you are rough on it and drive the inner race into it.

What did your inner primary bearing and race look like? Mine still looked like new at 40K when I was in there.

the bearings actually look good 35k on them, putting the S&S race on now ,so i might just leave those other seals go ,dont know about bearings ,they look good too,thanks alot Ripsaw so far
