Default Tank lift ?

I am dangerously close to being able to put the crossbones back together. I am playing with the idea of a tank lift. What have you guys done to cover the gap in the tunnel at the front of the tank where it normally sits on the backbone. I should have had it welded but didn't think about the tank lift til now

Nothing.. though with a bones and that springer front end it may be more noticable than behind my fatboy's 7" light. Mind you I only did the 1.5" kit. I wouldn't weld it just in case you decide on removing the lift.. I'm removing mine because I did a 107" kit and i want all my fuel back

Yeah Brett I didn't do anything with that gap. I just cut off that rubber grommet thing that covers the backbone. That gap isn't really that noticeable. I have a 2" on mine now but will be lowering it down to 1.5" just to level the tank out a touch

Sorry they suck but I cant wheel the bike out of the shed, DAMN SNOW. As you can see, the wire harness and the fuel vent line sort of cover that space up. I have an '06 night train so I'm not sure if yours is any different. Also, I have the tank lift from DK Customs. You can see the brackets in the pictures.

Brett, how high were you thinking about going? Like I said, I took my 1.5" kit off, so I've got the longer tank bolt, raisers, and a fuel crossover line, you'll need some new hose clamps (unless I have some laying around somewhere, not sure)

Jim, I hadn't thought about it. How much you want for it? I actually have a fresh set of clamps since I am getting everything repainted. Let me know
