Chrome wind deflectors on a 2012 Heritage softail classic
I tried to install part #58125-90B Chrome Wind Deflectors on my wife's 2012 Heritage. I just couldn't figure it out so the windshield could be reattached. Is there a trick I'm over looking?

I guess I'm becoming a dumb-*** in my old age.
If this helps, the Deflectors fit backwards from the way they fit on a RK. The top edge bend faces backwards, and the edge bend faces back. Just the opposite as a Road King. You might have to adjust the turn signals for them not to hit the deflectors. They are well worth the trouble, as they really work great. Make sure you keep them clean and waxed, or they will rust at the inside bends, behind the turn signals.
I think they are also suppose to mount on the outside part of the black rubber grommet that the windshield attaches to so the windshield is between the deflector and the fork tubes. Hope this helps.
The people at the Harley Shop told me I had to take off the windshield and the deflectors were mounted behind the windshield mounts. I'm here to testify that ain't going to happen.
With the help of you good people here on the forum they were put on correctly. Thanks everyone for your help! I'll have to have a little talk with the salesman that sold me the deflectors.
I've got a Fatboy and have the windshields but I installed mine the other way around - in front of the legs. They still work great maybe some day I'll try them the other way and see if there is a difference.
Here is a front view. They mount on the outside of the windshield bushings. With the deflector I removed the washers so the screw length was still good.
