I just picked a new wheel that had the wrong size bearing etc... in it for my bike. It had a 1 inch setup. I had them change it to a 3/4. If I stick my finger inside the bearing I can lift up and down the inner sleave (enough movement where it rattles back and forth). Is this normal?
It moves enough when I push it down you can catch the top of the sleave (outside of sleave not inside) with your finger nail. If I lay the wheel on its side I can see daylight on the inside of the sleave and on top of sleave. Maybe I am worrying over nothing. Maybe the bearing are what keep things tight.
I've never messed with them, but my impression is the spacer should be snug in there. Hogpro is a sponsor in here, try to PM them to see what they say.
The spacer in the hub shouldn't move around the bearings ride up against the spacer also if you noticed the new wheel bearings when pressing into the hub can't be turn by hand or finger if they do not installed right or old bearings making sure you do your spacing correctly when the wheel axle size change so does the spacing

Ditto.. it should NOT move AT ALL. I would not ride it until this is fixed.
I just realized you are talking about the crush tube. It should be in there tight. If it is not what can happen is it can wear out the bearings. Get a crush tube in the proper size and length and put it in the wheel. I can make one for you. Call me Monday.
Wen back to stealer to give them a chance to fix but of course they didn't know chit. The Crush sleave is tad to short (came from Harley kit). Strealer tried to say a little play won't hurt anything. Its a ball type bearing! He is full of crap. Too to my Indy (shold have done that to begin with). He is fixing it.

I have no Idea what Ur talking about....
Seem like U bought a wheel with 1'' bearing, U needed 3/4'' bearing and now after U have them change them U can still get Ur finger in them...
Hooly Chit... they must be really loose... and No that is not normal....
U need to either learn how to explain things or take Ur bike to some one who knows what the frig they are doing.....
