Jackshaft Coupler
Before you ask. I searched and found a ton of information, just not what I need specifically. Manual is ordered but not here yet and from some of the search information, maybe not very clear on my issue either. So any insight from the Harley veterans would be much appreciated.
Putting my primary back together and I'm a little stumped on the coupler for the starter jackshaft. It has a circlip inside it that is offset from the centerline.
Two questions since I didn't pay enough attention on disassembly
1. Which way does the coupler go? It appears that wide side out fits best, but I want to verify.
2. When I torque the bolt for the assembly down to 100 in/lb, should it bottom out on the jackshaft, or should the spring be holding it out away from the shaft end?

The concave (cupped) side goes toward the starter.

Thanks for the help...
Found some info to ignore the factory torque value and just snug up the bolt instead. I used 50 in/lbs. with a new locking tab.
Fired right up when I was done, so hopefully all is good.
