Hello Crossbones/Heritage riders
I need some help from you on a project. I am working on puting a Crossbones dash on a Fatboy. I have the dash and mocked it up and it seems i need to move the carriage bolt back about 3/4 of inch so it will line up and secure the dash.
What i need, if any you can provide is a side profile and top profile picture of where the carriage bolt sits under the dash on the Crossbones/Heritage. I have looked and have found the top plates are different. I just need to see how much i need to modify mine to make it work.
If any of you Crossbones/Heritage riders could help i would be super great full.
Thanks in Advance

Your bike is newer so you don't need a custom bracket. You just need a top plate off a Crossbones or Heritage. They are pretty cheap so not sure why you would modify yours. Is there other differences with the Fatboy top plate that you need to keep your existing one and modify it?
I rode my Bones to work today. If I can get a hold of a half inch wrench I will run outside and lift up the console to take some photos for you.

Skeez, you are correct and that is last ditch effort. But i would rather leave the tank sealed and spend about $5 and some of my time to make what i have work. Just greater personal satisfaction that way.
I put a Heritage dash (chrome Crossbones dash) on my 2010 Deluxe last weekend. I made a bracket that dropped the bolt 1 inch on center and had to adjust the angle of the existing bracket after I bolted it together. You'll also need to drill two holes for the line up pegs. Worked for me.

Do you have any pics? Or could you take some pics?
Thanks in advance.
