ENGINE TROUBLES - ANY THOUGHTS?
The MotorCo was contacted and they apologized for not having jurisdiction over the matter. They did recommend that I seek assistance via the press. I'm choosing to go thru the court system and document my nightmare through this forum in order to alert others.
I'm not surprised that the dealership who got my bike running is willing to back me up. House of Thunder (www.houseofthunder.com) has won HD awards twiceon customer service. (Check them out if you are heading this July to the Hollister Rally, they are one of the sponsors.)
As for the dealership who installed the 95 Stage III kit, who is only willing to reimburse me $500fordamages, is Santa Cruz/Green Valley Harley Davidson. Both owned by the same person.
I'll keep you posted on what's forthcoming...

In Court the "President,"of Santa Cruz Harley (Defendant) ran all over the map suggesting to the Judge reasons why the engine failed, other than the possibility of an intallation error made by his Service Department.
The bottom line is that we lost in Court after the Judge took the matter in submission. The Judge did state that there was a question on liability but that we the Plaintiffs couldn't prove we had ever complained in the past about the cams being ill to Santa Cruz H-D.
From this we've learned that 1.) Do some research before buying. If I had lookedinto the Small Claims Court records to find that Santa Cruz H-D has been a defendant in the past time and time again, I would have not purchased my bike from them. Even if they do win in Small Claims, something is wrong for them to keep comingback to Court with complaintsrelated toService Deparmtent installationissues. 2.) Always, always get receipts of the work performed on your bike, NO MATTER WHAT. 2.) Never, ever will I recommend that anyone buy or have their bike serviced at Santa Cruz/Green Valley Harley Davidson. 3.) There are dealerships out there that aren't just out there to get your $$. I've found one that I truly believe is honest--House of Thunderof Morgan Hill, CA.
I'm one that believes in "Karma."
My scoot drives better than it ever has before. I'm content with that.
