I am looking to put a wider rear tire and new shorter rear fender on my Slim (when it gets fixed). Is there a kit out there, someone who does custom work here?
I am new to all of this so I am sorry for possibly asking a repeated question.
I was searching through the Slim pics but only saw a chopped fender with the stock tire.
If I were to put a wider tire on the rear, would I have to make other modifications (other than the fender)?
It worked out really well for me. Fills out the stock fender nicely. IMHO the Slim looks best when the rear fender stays "Slim." But YMMV and I can see why folks like a fat fender back there.
..with all the other mods I have in the $$ pipeline right now, (no thanks to all the great looking rides here) I think seeing a Slim with a "done right" Heartland kit would be more than my ticker could handle...
Does Heartland even make a kit for the Slim? You'll need to switch out your swing arms amongst many other things. The slim is not meant to handle anything bigger than a 150 from the factory. I had a blackline and had the same problem.
