Default Harley Breakout!

Visited HD of Ocean County (NJ) to pick up parts for my Wide Glide today, and they had just taken delivery of the first Breakout model. Stunning bike, Love the exhaust, chopped fenders and the huge rear tire. The drag bars, not so much. Had enough in my checking account (insurance check from Hurricane Sandy) to pay cash, but successfully resisted temptation-for how long, I dunno. Anybody else have impressions on the new Breakout??

Was the one you saw the CVO, or a standard softail model? (Are the standard softail models even released yet?). In photos, I like it. I won't trade my Lo for one, but I like it.

Find a Deuce with a carburetor for less than $8000, add whatever your heart desires and keep the add-ons less than $12K and see what you can come up with. I am sure you would have a hard time matching the paint but with a good portion of that budget you can get something just as gaudy and even more custom.

I just think that there is more of the Deuce in the CVO then most people are willing to admit.

Looks like they took a VROD and put a regular tank on it and made the rear fender a little different. The stance reminds me too much of an altered VROD.

This bike was not a CVO, but a Standard Softail model, in vivid black. Liked the feel, but the bars were a bit wide for me, just as on the Softail Slim. The drag bars on my former FXDF were a little smaller and just right. With the stock bars from the Softail Deluxe, it would be perfect for me. Not at all V-Roddish!

I just saw this on the HD website yesterday. I really like the CVO Breakout, so I can't wait to see this one in person. I prefer skinny rear tires, but this bike looks great judging by the pictures. I posted this write up on another forum, but thought some of you might want to read it here.

Make mine Big Blue Pearl with some Big Shots Long, thank you. And the chrome wheels from the CVO.

I've seen the CVO model in all 3 colors, and really like the red paint scheme. It's definitely a sharp looking bike. But, for that kind of money I'll keep my Deuce.
I agree that the Breakout almost looks like a redesigned Deuce.

I bet the rear struts/fender would bolt tight up on a Rocker, since unlike the Deuce it already has the same size 240mm rear wheel. Same exact fork sliders as the Rocker and 49mm tubes.

I guess if you squint very tightly, the rear fender might have you thinking it's Deuce like.

The Turbine wheels aren't bad at $800/each.
