hi guys, thinking of buying an 88 softail custom. anything i should beware of ? thx...b.

Cam chain tensioners.
Other than that pretty solid motor.

Just to be clear, is it a 1988 model or is it powered by a 88 cubic inch Twin Cam?

No reason to avoid an older Evo Softail, as long as the price is reasonable.
