Default Engine Guard/Highway Peg Advice

Going to put an engine guard on my Slim. Still deciding between:

the black moustache with built-in rubber foot rests

OR

the nostalgic engine guard that requires pegs.

For those of you that have similar set-ups.....how do you like them? My concern is the all-in-one moustache guard limits the position of my legs on a long ride. I'm 6'0'', so I don't think reach will be an issue. I'm thinking the nostalgic guard and adjustable foot pegs will be more comfortable. I added a pic of my Slim. Trying to keep a simple, classic look. Thoughts?

I like the lindbar. I have the regular bar with pegs sticking out of the side, but I rarerly use them because I have to full spread eagle to use them. I will be purchasing the black lindy lindbar soon for my heritage.

I'm happy with the moustache guards, but I'm 5'10" with 32" inseam. I could see you still being a bit cramped if you have longer legs. The adjustable pegs might be a better choice. Looks-wise, the black moustache guards are a nice match to your bike, but in the end comfort should always win out over style in my humble opinion.

I added the mustache guard to mine, (P/N 49440-10) mainly because I preferred the low-profile look.
It also had the built-in highway pegs (or rather, foot rests), but I really don't use them much.
They're actually pretty comfortable when I do (I'm 5' 7" with a 30-inch inseam), and I see no reason why you couldn't add another set a little lower, or further outside if you wanted to, like on a regular guard...

A simple 3-bolt install - might take you all of ten minutes.

I have the nostalgic one with the billet mounts and pegs. I had the adjustable mounts on there, but adjustable is a little bit deceptive of a term! At the angle you want them, there is two choices, in front of the crash bar or closer than the crash bar. The billet ones mounted right in line with the crash bar, and for me, that was perfect.

I thought about the Linbar, but the edges are a little "sharp" for the style I'm going for with my Slim. I'm looking for something with more curves and a rounder look

I like the adjustable footpegs on the traditional engine guard.

I have the Lindy bar Multibar that is the same as the HD mustach bar. The foot rests are great for position change but I cant strech out with them. You could always add pegs to the mustach later to give yourself a variaty or positions.

There are some good comments of this subject in the "Deluxe with no/engine guard". I have 1 at the bottom of my bike and I have been trying to find out what it's called or who makes it. I really like it yet I have never seen 1 before. I have another pile of receipts I'm going to go through to see if I can find it in there. Stay tuned.

I checked out that thread. The conversation seemed to drift towards your unique style of low mounted highway pegs. I was looking for some first hand feedback on the two styles of engine guards in my original post. Looking forward to seeing some more pics of your setup and finding out who makes them.
