I am currently looking to purchse and instahl speakers for Ipod on my Softail Deluxe. Had been told HD speakers don't have the greatest sound.
Anybody find the same or make recommendations.
They get the job done but can be hard to hear at highway speeds with loud pipes. If I had it to do over again, I would have saved the money towards a Hoppe or Dead Center Cycle fairing with the audio option.
One thing I did notice was once I moved the speakers from high up in the bars to lower and further behind the windshield, it did make a big difference to how they sound at speed.
Get a memphis shades bat wing and put the hogtunes msa1 kit on it and jam...I just did this and I don't care what others say it's loud enough to hear it at 80..
