Motorcycle Lifts
Keep an eye open on Craigslist and other sites. I got my HANDY lift for $375. They are out there. Mine took me a few months of watching, but it is well worth it. This thing is built tough and rarely is there a time when one of the bikes is not on it.
I bought a PitBull lift at Laconia Bike Week about ten years ago. It's been a good lift although it takes up a lot of space.
So, every Winter I store my bike on the lift, with the wheels off the ground. I put a 2x4 in the lift, so if it settles over time, the bike stays up.
Of course most all lifts are driven by a standard hydraulic bottle jack. This past Winter, the hydraulic fluid in the bottle jack leaked out, and with the 2x4 in place, the lift was stuck in the up position. It took two of us to lift the bike, so we could pull the jack out. The whole thing took 60 seconds total, but definitely not something one person can do.
I'm now in the market for either a new bottle jack, or a new lift.

My I enquire though, about that pair of shapely legs and the purple dress in the picture? Are you single by any chance???
