Anyone have stock cans and black lower forks on their Slim?
I have black OEM uppers and lowers in my possession. Before I black out my front end, I'm curious to see what a aluminum upper/black lower combo looks like on a vivid black, or denim black Slim
I've seen a few with black uppers (cans) and stock (aluminum) lowers. But never seen black lowers with stock (aluminum) uppers.
Feel free to post pics if you have that, or have seen it.
..heh, that's what I did, or rather what I had my IT major son do.
He's a Photoshop wiz so all I have to do is give him a photo and tell him what I want...
I've seen it before and IMO it does not flow, either black it all out or leave it as is. But then again I'm bias since my whole front end is gloss black.

I suspect it would not flow. But would be nice to see the photoshop!
Hehe. Well that dont work. Can u do uppers and lowers black for kicks? Leave the strip of chrome at top. Forget what thats called. Ill owe you a beer.
..better...
There's a few in the Slim pic thread where they've done the covers black and left the sliders polished & they look good...
Hell, I think you can buy the covers in black from H-D for around $60 - p/n 45591-02
The trim strips on the shroud are $9 for the pair - p/n 68055-10BHP
Then of course you're gonna want axle nut covers - another $60...
