how hard are these to install? i read the directions and to me they are as clear as mud.

very easy. brackets slip in behind axle adjusters. if you do one side at a time there is no need to dismantle axle. just loosen, install, and re-tighten axle. covers attach to brackets with small bolts.....steve

There should be a bracket that mounts between the adjuster locknut. Loosen the locknut without moving the adjuster bolt enough to slide the bracket in between the frame and the locknut. Tighten the locknut. Slide the cover from the back end over the axle so that the clip at the rear of the cover engages the back side of the tail of the swingarm and the front of the cover fits over the bracket. install the 2 little screws on the front and tighten the clip at the rear.

10 minutes if you follow above. Don't forget the blue loctite.

The kuryakyn covers come with good instructions. (All kuryakyn products have good install instructions.)
