If you are thinking even just a little about doing any future engine performance mods on your scoot (cams, head work, big bore) I would start out with a good self tuning product like Power Vision, TTS or Thunder Max to name a few. Then try to figure out what level of performance that you will be satisfied with. Your best bang for the buck is to do it right the first time. Keep in mind the possibility of doing mods down the road. Most of us here start out with a tuning system, exhaust and high air flow filter. Some leave it alone after that. Some end up wanting more power after they have ridden it for a while (yours truly included). Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions. I was guilty of not doing that and after depending on two indy's advice, was not satisfied with the results. I finally have my bike running strong and cool but ended up having the heads and cams done twice. If I would have got the cams and head work right when I had the 103 big bore done it would have saved me a lot of money. Every time you break into the motor it gets costly. If you are pretty fussy about how your bike runs (a good thing), I wouldn't skimp on ECM, exhaust, intake to start out with. Take your time!

The cheap way will get U just that,, a cheap fix, which isn't very good..

If U havent change anything, Why screw with it..

Wait till U can afford new pipes and an A/c and then get a good tuner that will be able to tune Ur motor and not just throw fuel at it...

I needed to rich'n mine ride up as it was way too lean. The factory set up was cooking my chestnuts. I have a stage 1: V&H Big Radius, K&N filter, FuelPak, and Nightriders Xied's. Combined, my ride is a beast, sounds great, and cooled at least 20 degrees. Good Luck!
