FXST Tri-Bar LED Compatibility

I know these are meant for 2006 and up but is there a reason these won't work on a 2005? As far as I know the 2005 and 2006 FXST both have the same 150mm tires and same fenders.

The fender on a 2006 is wider as the 06 has a 200 rear tire.

Thanks, I thought only the Night Train had the 200mm rear.

Probably no help but I have a 06 night train and it has a 200 rear

I believe the 200mm tire was an option in 2006 on some models, but the 200mm tire and Tri-Bar light was stock on the 2006 Screamin' Eagle (FXSTSSE). I put one on my 2008 Night Train and it fits nicely, but it is too wide for a 2005 with a 150mm tire. Hope that helps.
