I had a Pirelli on the front of mine for a while, hated every minute of it. Couldn't wait to get it worn out so I could get rid of it. Made the steering very heavy and the bike wanted to stand up in the turns. It's gone now and my bike is back to its nimble self! Never will use Pirelli's again.
Well, I hope Scudda's review is more accurate than yours. I they suck I'll have no problem with taking them off and replacing them before they wear out. I'll just sell them on CL or on here.

avon all the way for me. i am using them now and have taken them to my limits and they perform time after time. love the grip that they put down. I have put 500 miles on them and the front tire still has some of the nubbs on the center of the tire. i think that they are great.never tired the metzler tire but everybody likes different tires and has different things to say about the same tire.
I wasn't implying that your review was inaccurate. Scudda said he liked the Pirelli's, you said you didn't. So, basically what I was saying is that I hope I have a positive experience with them like Scudda has, and not a negative experience like you did. That's all.
It's Cobras for me, on the second set and been in pouring rain and dry they grip very well. The first set went over 10k and on road groves they don't wiggle they seem to run over them like they aren't there

Oh ok. I hope you have a good experience with them too. I think had my Pirelli tire been on the rear all would have been well, but with it on the front, it was terrible. Even sitting still and turning the handlebars side to side, the steering was very heavy, kind of like having a flat. I never had any loss of grip or anything and it rode fine, just handled like a barge and wanted to stand up in the turns. I had a Road Star that always wanted to stand up like that, and I hated it. My Harley handles like a much lighter bike, though the weight is practically the same. With the Pirelli, it handled like the Road Star. Went to a Michelin Commander on the front and now it handles like it did when I bought it.
I am going to the Metzeler 888 on the rear as soon as it needs to be replaced. Good luck with the Pirelli. At least if you don't like it, it will wear out at some point, lol.

LOL If I don't like them I'll take them off way before they wear out. Thanks.
