Default removed my rear mud flap... lol

After looking at that damn license plate bracket (mud flap... lol) for 6.5 years I said that's it. Took it off and got the Kuryakyn Curved side mount license plate bracket without the tail light. Looks GREAT!!!

i just did mine same brand but straight vertical with led light above plate , give's you extra brake and running light for cage's , at night it's really cool bottom row led is blue and thenabove them is about 5 row's red led , kind of pimp look, and then when it's installed you don't see any wire's so it's allmost factory. what did you do to the three hole's left when you did the change? look around catalog's or dealer but they make cool little plate's that cover hole's , i put skull on mine, but they have dice, clover's, just what ever trip's your trigger.LATER BRO

I just revamped mine as well. I used some cutting tools, buffing tools, a grinder, a chunk of stainless-steel sheet metal from my local hw store, and a $10 chrome license plate frame from HD. (please pardon the bike, it's a little dirty)

I have a Deuce so did not have to worry about any holes to plug or cover.

I removed that ugly piece of $hit and took a hack saw to it, and cut it off. Then reinstalled what was left back under the fender. Have to figure what I can do to utilize the old license plate light. Maybe some colored lighting.

djohnston, your's looks professional, good job.

Thanks!

Yeah, that stock license plate bracket is hideous. The other ugly chunk of plastic I got rid of was the splashguard. Check out HD part #60476-00A. Makes a huge difference.

They make the same thing for my Bike in chrome with the splash guard, but like you said it looks hideous, especially on a Deuce. Plus I have enough chrome to keep shiny.

Do you know if the "mud flap is expensive? I don't want to move the light but was thinking I want the plate moved. So I was going to cut the plate flap off. But if I change my mind.......how much will HD charge me for a new one?

I would guess $50-$60.00 at the stealer. But check ebay, they have a couple on there every once and a while.
