how to you adjust the float if its not closing all the way on a 95 fatboy

Bend the tang, more likely the float valve or seat is cruddy. Good luck.

Yeah, check its not just full of crap but the way to adjust it is to hold the carby, with the float bowl off and the hinge on the float at the top.

Turn carby so that the front (the part that goes in the manifold) is 15-20 degrees off horizontal.

Measure the distance from the gasket surface of the carby body to the top of the edge of the float that is opposite the hinge. It should be 10.5-11.5 mm.

Bend the tang at the hinge end to adjust.
