Default Starter flstfi

Hello, i have a 2005 flstfi 1550 with a dead starter
does anyone know if the 1550 uses the 1450 starter
before someone answers go to your dealer,
the nearest is 400 miles round trip.
I live in ne scotland

Evo's and Twin Cam 88's can swap starters but in 2007 the starter design changed. It's a great design allowing the starter to be easily removed. TC 88's (06 and earlier) and TC 96's (07 and later) are different designs. Since you have an 05, TC 88 with increased displacement, Yes you can use a starter from an 88.
