Was out cruising enjoying the gorgeous weather today and stopped by Orchard Lake to take a few pics. Installed the 39" cholos yesterday so had to get some new pics with em on, man are they loud.
Actually bike runs like crap now, I assume it's due to the slip ons being non baffled. I'm probably going to order up some baffled or removable baffle 39"s this week to get some of the torque back. I can definitely feel the loss, I've done about 8-10 autotunes and it's getting better but it still runs like ****. I'm probably going to order the baffled ones this week.
If you like how loud it is you can always try some power cones. I have 39's and running power cones it will gain some torque back. You can get them for 30 bucks if you look around. You will have to remove your exhaust to install them though.
They're borderline to loud too, so that's why I'm leaning towards removable tip 39s. I like the removable idea so I can change just the tip once I wear through it.
I don't want to run torque cones, its to much of a pain in the *** to take off the rear pipe to install them.
If it's too loud for your tastes then fair enough mine are unbaffled and I like em like that. But as regards the power, you could always get it tuned. That would make a big difference.
Ive got the baffles in mine and they are still plenty loud, my bike is running great on the tune I had from my 2 into 1 so the flow must be comparable. You will probably be happy with baffles if you go that route.
Reading this makes me glad I ordered the removable baffles. They will get cut down on the Dyno but still I will have something there for a little back pressure.I wasn't too keen on hearing it runs like crap but I guess I will have to judge for myself going to those from a 2 into 1 pipe. How tall are your Apes Dude? Do you have the SS on there? I had 16's ordered but they just looked to tall for me so I sent them back to switch out for the 14's, I hope I didn't screw up. Bike looks nice Dude.
that looks awesome, and I am in the 'concerned about noise' boat, I am in the minority that wants a rumble but not annoying pipes I talked to the Samson techs and I hope we can get a 'quieter' option for those babies
