i got about 8900 miles on my 2010 Fatboy. Original rear tire doesn't look like it's gonna make it much past 10k. Front aint looking too good either.
Been thinking about Michelin Commander II's. Any thoughts, good or bad?
I also took a look at the Dunlop American Elite. Kinda think the Dunlops won't be as good though.
BTW, stealership wants over $800 for HD tires installed.

I would look at Commander II's, the new Metzeler ME 888's or Dunlop Elite III's. All good tires. I went with the 888's last week for my Heritage. Dennis Kirk and Jake Wilson have the best prices, most of the time.

I had the commanders on my dyna - got 12k on the rear and there was still lots of thread left.
Dealer charges boatload for the labor - sadly. I think they calculate 1h for front and almost 2h on the rear. Go to any indy and it will cost you much less than that. BTW - motorcyclesuperstore.com is one of the best places to go for tires. IMO. cheaper than dealer and free shipping.
I bought a set of Dunlop American Elites on ebay. I haven't put them on yet though. I have 10,150 miles on the originals. Back needs changed very soon.
Looks like I'm gonna order the Michelin Commander II's.
Indy near me gets $50 a tire mounted and balanced.
Probly order from Dennis Kirk, they seem to have the best deal
I have the Commander II on my Fatboy ...really disapointed in the mileage I got out of them Only about 6500 miles, about the same as the Metzelers I had on previously. Just ordered a new set of Metzelers. I like the ride and handling of them over the Commanders. I would have ordered another set of Commanders if the mileage was better. I do alot of 2 up riding and we live in NW Arkansas with lots of good riding with lots of curves..
