I bought some for my 05 Night train and I was workin on gettin some big radius next, but I had hear HD was gonna quit makin these things?
No big deal just curious, I was wonderin why I couldn't take these off my softail and put them on my grandpa's 06' dyna. I knew there was a reason, I just can't remember it!

Yeah, no more seII. Its just because of all the noise violations all over the country, HD is just taking themselves out of the equation. That's smart afterall the less liabilities they've got the longer the moco can be around. Besides there's a million other pipes out there. Cycle Shack for instance made the SEII during the evo years. That would be your closest match, a little bit smaller in diameter but same basics. As for taking them off your ST and putting them on your dyna, no dice. Your dyna has all the exhaust mounts attached to there motor and tranny so i can move freely with the rubber mounts. Softail is rigid mounted those brackets are on the frame.

One more thing, it seem's harley rider's are being the basterd child for pipe noise, I for one know mine make's lound tuned sound, I love to hear those D&D Boarzla header with performance baffle, i don't ride W.O.T all time's, but like traffic behind me for safety's sake, I'm not trying to ride around to see how many people i can **** off, my bike is legal, all paper work ,insurance, plate, inspection sticker, and as all ya'll know it's not cheap! like i said have baffle in pipe, but it help's my power and I don't want differant baffle, what about those rice rocket's that go by you 150mph or more allmost have heart attack! and then some of them are riding wheelies also, if i just (Try) to ride slow and careful noise is lot less, i'm glad i have 06 model ,hate those sensor plug's in pipe, then spend 3 grand or more and you aren't sure if you can pass state inspection, big brother suck's if you supe up for power, and when they did my dyno it was 94 or higher in temp. Oh well I did save stock pipe's, and that's money for new download, i heard 07 and beyond going to be more strict, and that's just rumor i hear, so i hope i'm wrong, those 110's sure are temting!!!!

You really won't have to worry about it with the 06 model you have. It's the 07 and later that will have issue as they have cats in the pipes and02 sensors. You should be able to still make good power and meet the regs with the 07's, maybe not as much as before but close. May have to have a lean map you use for inspection. As long as the02 sensor and cats are not removedthere should be no violation if the emissions are in spec. The 02 sensor in the pipe is really not a bad thing it allows you to run an open loop FI system which will tune itself as the weather conditions change. S&S has an open loop system that will allow you to add mods thatincrease performance up to 20% w/o a remap. Wouldn't it be nice to do a stage 1or cam change and not have to run to the dyno man for a remap. It's hard enough to find a tuner that can actually tune anyway.

That's another thing wanted to ask you, when my dyno was done it was 94degree's and high humidity ,I'm thinking of doing another dyno since it's 80 today, but hell when it get's hot here in summer ,it's 95 to 100 for 3 month's at time's so i better not mess with it now, and have you heard of heat issue's on 07 model's or is it just a few hard luck people?
