Im calling harley tomorrow to get some history and Im told I should get all the paper work that the father had before he passed..
I could not find one ding, or nick or even a scratch but it was really dusty.. spark plugs are rusty so Im guessing it sat for a bit.. so I'll be checking chain tensioners (if there is no paperwork on them) and doing the fluids..
Oh tires were 75% at least.. so Im happy.. I probably wont get it until satuday just due to logistics etc...
That is awesome, congrats dude, enjoy the ride.
I got some cheap helmets if you need to buy one.
Buy the way that seat is uncomfortable and does not flow well. Only go to the dealer to look at the parts you want, then shop int he forum classifieds and on ebay.

She's a beauty.. Im partial to a solo seat... I hear Mustang is comfy.. gotta start looking...
What crash bar is that? Im thinking I may go that route.. its been 5 years since Ive ridden and never a harley... I definately want highway pegs.. I liked the setup on that last white though without the bars... downside? I'll attach a photo. Downside that I know if is it probably scratches the frame up.
so new questions: Oil type? Filter? where do I get? Any good articles on how to clean up and polish a harley?
And yeah 13 pages... I tend to babble just a little bit...
Calling Harley shortly, hoping they will give me info..

I can't remember who made the engine guard. I got it off ebay.
As far as cleaning, Don't use a pressure washer on it. I use regular mothers chrome polish, and turtle wax car wash. I also use turtle wax. for the windshield, go to Harley and get plexus windshield cleaner. Never use rain-x on a lexon windshield.
The wheels are hard to clean, so hard that I got rid of mine.

Ha.. too funny.. I think Im gonna get tired of the FB wheels real quick.. But I have yet to see a set of aftermarket I like.. though, yours are not bad.. I actually like the heritage wheels too.
Ok.. good deal on the washing.. Im gonna end being my garage for 6 hours on Saturday I know it
There are several fatboy picture threads, look at all of them. I liked the thick wagon wheel spokes because they match the fat look of a fatboy. I also like the thick spoke wheels, warg has on his fatboy.
I am not a fan of the chrome fatboy dish wheels.
There are lots of awesome looking fatboys on the forum.
To be completely honest, cost was big factor when I got my wheels. I was not willing to drop 2k on the wheels alone.
